A. 英語ではこう言います

1. doorbell | ring the doorbell

chime ともいえますが、chime は学校の始業チャイムも表します。doorbell の方が誤解のおそれがありません。

2. intercom | talk over the intercom

interphone ともいいますが、intercom の方がふつうです。

3. mailbox | check one’s mailbox and take out one’s mail

これは街路から玄関へ通じる、ドアのすぐ外側の部分を指します。

ちなみに「防犯ベル」は burglar alarm とか crime prevention buzzer といいます。

6. wall | build a wall around the garden

wall は石やレンガなどの塀を指します。木材や針金でできた「柵」は fence です。

7. tile | tile-roofed house

「鉢植えの植物」は potted plant といいます。

9. flowerbed | water the flowerbed

10. weed | weed the garden

「除草剤」は weed-killer, herbicide といいます。
